~~~Starting Off~~~
Okay. First off, the main menu ! You know, the place that says New, Load, and Delete? Well, if you're new, what you want to do is press New. "But Harunz, we already know how to do dis, y u tell uz bout it?" The answer is simple. Most of you don't know that you need to pick an RP name.
Example of RP names: Halsine, Haren. Renmei, Seigi. Hatoki, Saru. Etcetera.
Examples of Non-RP names: Ichigo. Ulquioria. death771. Scar The Reaper, xXeaterofsoulsXx. Etcetera (Cause it really isn't an RP name.).
In other words, pick an ACTUAL name. No names from other animes, no stupid number/letter combos, nothing otherwise retarded. Titles (as in 'the Destroyer', 'the Omen', etc) are not appropriate names.
Note that the RP names are in Japanese styling, ie, Last Name, First Name. It is not required to have your name in that format, nor do you need to have a last name.
And before we continue, some terms/random things you should know:
IC = In-character. Anything pertaining to something your person would say.
OOC = Out of character. Everything pertaining to something you wouldn't/can't say in-character. Some examples of OOC are real life discussion ("Hey, did you see that movie last night Jeff?"), questions about the game ("wut lvl 4 races?"), and asking someone for something that may get you banned ("hey, can I get teh editz?"). Anything you say OOCly MUST be put in brackets/parenthesis "[text] or (text)" when speaking in the Say channel, so people can differentiate which is which.
RP = Roleplaying. If you don't know this, then go play the PvP server. (PvP = Player vs Player, btw.)
No IC in OOC = Basically, don't tell anyone ANYTHING about your character in the OOC channel. Examples of things NOT to be said are shikai/bankai info, location of you or others, plans that have been discussed between leaders, etc. Race-Say counts as an IC channel, so brackets/parenthesis are needed for any OOC info.
You are not able to see your stats/level. Instead, you are given percentages that are based on how much of your training has been in one stat. The percentages do not give any indication as to how strong you are. Level is hidden, but still a variable, and still needed for the techniques.
~~~Starting Off Two (Also known as, "WEWT I'M AN UNRACED LEWZER!!!")~~~
You start off on a black-top road. First thing you should do, GET YOUR ASS TO THE HOSPITAL. Even though it -is- an RP game, Hollows do not have to role play to kill, and hospital killing is sorta frowned upon. So, head dead right until you come across a big white building. That building is the Hospital, which is where you will respawn (come back to life) when/if you die as a Human/Squadless Shinigami. Go inside.
Training: At this point, you may have noticed the buttons on the smaller HUD at the bottom left corner of the screen. Although you can use these buttons to train a few of your stats (the Attack button trains attack and health, the Rei button trains reiatsu and reiatsu power), they are by no means the best way to train. Training on your own will still give you stats, but at a much slower rate - training this way will, in the end, stunt your character's growth.
The best way to train, believe it or not, is to just fight. To raise your attack and offense, just attack people - every time you land a hit, you will have a random chance of gaining either attack or offense. On the flip side, every time you dodge an attack you have a chance of gaining endurance, defense, or health. The same thing goes for reiatsu attacks - every time you land a reiatsu attack you have a chance of gaining reiatsu power or offense, and every time you dodge a reiatsu attack you have a chance of gaining reiatsu power or defense.
For now, use the self-train verb for Reiatsu; until you hit 500 reiatsu power, you will have the same gains as training normally. Keep training until you get the message "You can now see spirits!". This is a good thing. You are now able to go out and pick your race!
~~~Becoming a Race (Or, "We're all racist bastards, that's why we pick the same thing!")~~~
Shinigami - Walk outside the Hospital, and wander around on earth with your newfound soul-seeing abilities. You have two options: either get killed by a Hollow NPC that will attack you without antagonizing it, or slug a Shinigami NPC in the face and watch yourself get wtfpwned by a shakkahou. Please note, that once you make one shinigami hostile to you, they will ALL swarm you and try to kill you. So, if you decide to go the shinigami-root of dying, please log out and log back in to drop the agro they'll have on your character.
Either way you pick, after you die and respawn in the Hospital, a message box will pop-up. It will say "What did you do?", with three options "Ran Away, Fled Body, or Got Eaten". Pick the option "Fled Body", and you will become a Soul.
Now, there's a fifty/fifty chance that you will respawn in either the Rukongai, or back on Earth. If you spawn back on earth, either have a player Soul Burial, or step outside the hospital and find a shinigami NPC. Be prepared for lulz as they torpedo toward you and use Soul Burial on you. Don't worry about being killed by a Hollow. In the off chance that you can avoid every single shinigami NPC on earth and get near one, all they will do is kill you and send you back to the hospital.
Becoming a soul is permanent. There is no going back, unless you remake. So if you don't want to die, I'd suggest staying in the hospital until you are strong enough to kill a shinigami NPC on the off chance you piss it off.
Anyway. You died, and (by whatever means) wound up in the Rukongai. Follow the dirt road all the way up to the fork, and then head north. As you enter the next map, you'll notice a hulking dude with a hook/cleaver. That is Jidanbou, and without his permission, you cannot go into the Seireitei. How do you obtain his permission? Talk to him, of course. Depending on your stats, he'll either let you in, or deny you.
If he denies you - Backtrack to that fork in the road, and head left. Follow the dirt road until you come across a big housing complex. Head north till you see a giant building. That building is known as the Bar, and you can get all the training you need in there. From here, it's mostly trial and error. Train for a bit, then go back and ask Jidanbou again, and again, till he lets you pass.
If he lets you in - Head north, past the big building that has a Four on it (that is the Squad four house, which we'll get to in a bit). Go into the building behind it, the one that says Teacher on the sign. Walk up to the guy that looks like Yamamoto (aka, the {NPC}Teacher), and talk to him. He'll ask you if you want to be a shinigami, say yes, and you'll become a shinigami trainee!
To become a full-fledged shinigami - Now that you are a Shinigami Trainee, don your new outfit, and go find a Captain, a PLAYER Captain, and RP with them to join their squad. The difficulty of this task can/will vary. It all depends upon your RP ability, the Captain's RP preference, and how often the Captains are on/want to RP.
After joining the squad, you'll be presented with your robes, as well as your Zanpakutou. Put the robes on, since most Captains frown upon their shinigami not wearing them. Becoming a Shinigami also gives you access to your Shikai/Bankai, which is random. There is no specific thing you can do to get any specific Zan, so just cross your fingers and hope for the best.
It is, technically, impossible for you to know when you are about to get a technique, so try not to ask about it.
Leaving a Squad - On the off chance you want to leave a squad, you need/have to RP with the captain of your current squad, and have a valid and GOOD reason to want to leave. If they give you permission, then you'll be booted from the squad. Note, that this is mainly used for switching squads. If you are leaving Soul Society all together, you will need to converse with a GM to get them to allow you to.
Becoming a Captain - The reqs for Captain are simple, and yet not so simple. Have mastered Bankai, mastered Shunpo, and have superior RP skills. Now, again, this could vary, depending on who the Captain Commander is that is judging your RP, from easy to impossible. The judging process depends on the current CC's personal RPing preferences.
As a captain, you have certain perks. Booting/Inviting to Squads, giving out Hell Butterflies at your discretion, cool white robe, etc. But, and I cannot express this enough, YOU ARE NOT EXEMPT FROM THE MOST IMPORTANT RP RULE, DO NOT DO ANYTHING WITHOUT AN IC REASON. Trust me. That's a bad idea. And if you DO get an IC reason, make sure it's a REALLY good one.
For example, being on earth, bad reasons: patrolling (captains don't patrol, they send their shinigami subordinates to do it), killing Hollows (again, not the captains job), and soul burying souls (still not your job). Good reasons: Rescuing someone you sent to earth, or anything that the Captain Commander tells you to do on earth.
If you send someone to earth (ie, giving them a hell butterfly), it'd be smiled upon if you gave them a specific task, and a time limit of how long they are allowed to stay.
Not following these rules is punishable, and you can/will get your captaincy taken if you don't listen/follow them.
______________________________________________________________________ ________
Hollow - This is probably the simplest race to become. Walk outside the Hospital, and wander around on earth with your newfound soul-seeing abilities. You have two options: either get killed by a Hollow NPC that will attack you without antagonizing it, or slug a Shinigami NPC in the face and watch yourself get wtfpwned by a shakkahou. Please note, that once you make one shinigami hostile to you, they will ALL swarm you and try to kill you. So, if you decide to go the shinigami-root of dying, please log out and log back in to drop the agro they'll have on your character. (This, of course, does not apply to races that the NPCs are naturally hostile against. You're just SOL then.)
Either way you pick, after you die and respawn in the Hospital, a message box will pop-up. It will say "What did you do?", with three options "Ran Away, Fled Body, or Got Eaten". Pick 'Got Eaten', and you will become a Hollow.
You spawn in a large, desert-like area, also known as Hueco Mundo. From there, you can either head up the dirt road and to the right, which will lead you to the Hollow Zone which has all the training implements you need, or you can continue upwards, which will lead you to the Arrancar area, where you will get pwned if you punch one of them. The Arrancar Area also has a training spot, so train there if you wish.
You start off as a Weak Hollow. Start training, and you'll eventually climb through the ranks of Hollow Evolution. The chain goes as follows: Weak Hollow -> Strong Hollow - > Menos -> Adjuucas -> Vasto Lorde. The higher in the chain, the more freedom you have RP-wise. At any given evolution before Vasto, you can kill without RPing. As soon as you hit Vasto though, you must start RPing your attacking/killing.
As for RPing as a Hollow, remember, you are a dumb, mindless creature. Keep this in mind during the first three evos (Weak, Strong, and Menos.). When you hit Adjuucas, you have a slight bit more freedom, but you still aren't at a human level of intelligence. Vasto Lorde offers the highest amount of freedom, being human-like in intelligence.
Becoming an Arrancar - The only two requirements for Arrancar are being a Vasto Lorde and having superior RPing skills. Find your local Hollow Leader, and RP with him. If he likes the RP, then he'll transform you. Train for awhile, and you'll get your shikai, which doesn't require mastery, and is random.
Becoming an Espada Arrancar - Obviously, the biggest req for this is being an Arrancar. Other than that, it is entirely up to the Hollow Leader as to what the other reqs are. Being an Espada gives you authority over other Arrancar, as well as the Hollows that reside in HM (Hueco Mundo).
Becoming Hollow Leader - This position is open to any race, as long as they have the RP skills to back up the desire to become the Leader. Your perks are creating Arrancar/Espada at your discretion, as well as control over basically anyone in HM. The same rules that apply to Captains apply to you as well, so watch what you do.
______________________________________________________________________ ________
Bount - Walk outside the Hospital, and wander around on earth with your newfound soul-seeing abilities. You have two options: either get killed by a Hollow NPC that will attack you without antagonizing it, or slug a Shinigami NPC in the face and watch yourself get wtfpwned by a shakkahou. Please note, that once you make one shinigami hostile to you, they will ALL swarm you and try to kill you. So, if you decide to go the shinigami-root of dying, please log out and log back in to drop the agro they'll have on your character. (This, of course, does not apply to races that the NPCs are naturally hostile against. You're just SOL then.)
Either way you pick, after you die and respawn in the Hospital, a message box will pop-up. It will say "What did you do?", with three options "Ran Away, Fled Body, or Got Eaten". Pick 'Fled Body', and you will become a Soul.
The path to Bountship is similar to that of Shinigami. There's a fifty/fifty chance that you will respawn in either the Rukongai, or back on Earth. If you spawn back on earth, either have a player Soul Burial, or step outside the hospital and find a shinigami NPC. Be prepared for lulz as they torpedo toward you and use Soul Burial on you. Don't worry about being killed by a Hollow. In the off chance that you can avoid every single shinigami NPC on earth and get near one, all they will do is kill you and send you back to the hospital.
Becoming a soul is permanent. There is no going back, unless you remake. So if you don't want to die, I'd suggest staying in the hospital until you are strong enough to kill a shinigami NPC on the off chance you piss it off.
Anyway. You died, and (by whatever means) wound up in the Rukongai. Head dead left, into the forest. Keep going left, until you stumble upon a building. That is the Bount Lab. Go inside, and RP with the Bount Leader. If he likes your RP, he'll make you a Bount. Train for a bit, and you will get your doll, which is random, and requires mastery.
Becoming Bount Leader - Just like Hollow Leader, this is not race-specific. Have mastered release, mastered flashstep, and superior RP skills. Again, the ease of this task depends on who you are giving your RP to. Becoming the Leader grants you the ability to create Bounts at your discretion, and control over your Bounts. The same leader rules apply to you as well, so pay attention to what you do.
______________________________________________________________________ ________
Sado/Inoue - Instead of walking outside, it'd be a good idea to train until you don't get instantly pwnt by Hollow/Shinigami NPCs. The path to Sado/Inoue is incredibly simple. From the Hospital, go north past all three stores until you come across a big brown building that says 'Urahara Shop' (This is also the area you will respawn if you die). The shop itself contains all the training devices you need.
From here, it's just a matter of RPing with the Human Leader. If he likes your RP, he will give you the option to become a Special Human. From there, you pick either Power-type for Sado, or Reiatsu-type for Inoue. None of your techs require mastery.
Becoming Human Leader - This title is availiable to Humans, Special Humans, and Shinigami only. Having all/mastered techs, mastered flashstep, and superior RP ability are the reqs. This will vary in difficulty depending on who you RP with. Becoming the Leader grants you the ability to create Special Humans at will, as well as giving you full access to the Urahara Shop, which includes the ability to go down into and lock the basement, as well as a verb that lets you sell gigais, and a secret verb you aren't allowed to discuss. You can hire people to work for you in your shop, as well as control over the Sados/Inoues you create.
______________________________________________________________________ ________
Quincy - Instead of heading right toward the hospital, head north until you come across a dirt road. Follow it to the left, ending up at a big, multi-story building. This is Quincy Inc., the only real player-run business in the game.
Go inside, and you will be on the first floor. At the desk should normally be a receptionist. Talk to them, and hopefully they will allow you up. Double left-click on the elevator, and a menu will pop up, asking you which floor you want to go to. The floors are Basement, where all the training impliments are, Entrance, the floor you're on, Office Area, for people that work there only, and Executive Floor, where the Quincy Elder's office is. Head to the Exec. Floor, and talk to the Secretary (Me atm ). They will call ahead to see if the Elder is willing to see anybody. If they are, then you will be allowed in. From there, it's all a matter of RP skill. Pass the RP test, and you'll get your bow and Quincy suit. The bow requires mastering.
Becoming the Quincy Elder - This title is availiable to Humans and Quincies only. Seeing as how you'd need an Elder to be a Quincy, the first Elder will most likely start off Human. Becoming the Quincy Elder AFTER the first Elder requires mastered bow, mastered hirenhyaku, and superior RP skills. As with all leader positions, the difficulty of this depends on who you are RPing with.
Being Elder grants you the entirety of the Quincy Tower, the ability to hire/fire people, and the abiltiy to create/control your own Quincies.
______________________________________________________________________ ________
Vaizard - The method of becoming a Vaizard is hidden. It's all a matter of getting in good with the right people, RPing with the Vaizard Leader, and defeating your Inner Hollow.
This is extremely tricky. First off, the method is most likely difficult to accomplish. After that, you still need to defeat your Inner Self, which is a chore in itself. AND ON TOP OF THAT, if you do beat him, there's only a 33% chance you will learn to control your Inner Hollow and become a Vaizard.
The rewards? Hollow Mask, Cero/Gran Rey Cero, Garganta. If you win, congradulations, you sunuvabish. If you fail, I saw it coming ;D.
Becoming Vaizard Leader - This title is limited to only Shinigami and Vaizards. Seeing as how there has to be a Vaizard Leader to be a Vai, the first Leader will most likely start off Shinigami. The reqs for Leader AFTER the first one require mastered shikai/bankai, mastered shunpo, and superior RP skills. As with all leader positions the difficulty of this depends on who you are RPing with.
There are no leader perks, other than creating/controling Vaizard.
~~~Shopping (Or, "Does this make my butt look big?")~~~
Store Types - There are three different stores: The Clothing Store, The General Store, and The Barber.
The Clothing Store is basically like your local Good Will, since everything is free. You'll find objects from simple clothes, to leather jackets, to glasses and capes and ninja suits.
The General Store is where you can buy your cell phones and business cards. The cell phone is $2000, and the business cards are $50 each.
After you buy your cell phone, right click on it and press use. A menu will pop up with the following options: Dial a Call, View Own Phone Number, Hide Cell Number, and Address Book. Dial a Call has you put in a 4 digit number that is the other person's phone number. After dialing, your phone will start to ring, and you have to right click on the phone and press use again to answer it. View Own Phone Number will show you your number. Pretty self-explanitory. Hide Cell Number. Now, this one is a very good thing to have, and it's a good idea to click yes on this one, unless you want people to prank call you. Address Book shows you all the non-hidden numbers.
Business cards are basically a way of sharing your information without having to tell them over and over again. Just right click on the card when you are next to a player, and click 'Give'.
The Barber is where you get your haircuts, at $50 bucks a pop.
Buying a House - Directly left from where you first start is a big housing complex. Basically, each house is $3000, and pretty much empty. The only real house of interest is the very top-left house, which includes a portal into Hueco Mundo for some strange reason. Be aware, this is the house that EVERYONE wants, and doesn't offer much in the way of privacy.
THE END

Becoming an Arrancar - The only two requirements for Arrancar are being a Vasto Lorde and having superior RPing skills. Find your local Hollow Leader, and RP with him. If he likes the RP, then he'll transform you. Train for awhile, and you'll get your shikai, which doesn't require mastery, and is random.
Becoming an Espada Arrancar - Obviously, the biggest req for this is being an Arrancar. Other than that, it is entirely up to the Hollow Leader as to what the other reqs are. Being an Espada gives you authority over other Arrancar, as well as the Hollows that reside in HM (Hueco Mundo).
Becoming Hollow Leader - This position is open to any race, as long as they have the RP skills to back up the desire to become the Leader. Your perks are creating Arrancar/Espada at your discretion, as well as control over basically anyone in HM. The same rules that apply to Captains apply to you as well, so watch what you do.

Bount - Walk outside the Hospital, and wander around on earth with your newfound soul-seeing abilities. You have two options: either get killed by a Hollow NPC that will attack you without antagonizing it, or slug a Shinigami NPC in the face and watch yourself get wtfpwned by a shakkahou. Please note, that once you make one shinigami hostile to you, they will ALL swarm you and try to kill you. So, if you decide to go the shinigami-root of dying, please log out and log back in to drop the agro they'll have on your character. (This, of course, does not apply to races that the NPCs are naturally hostile against. You're just SOL then.)
Either way you pick, after you die and respawn in the Hospital, a message box will pop-up. It will say "What did you do?", with three options "Ran Away, Fled Body, or Got Eaten". Pick 'Fled Body', and you will become a Soul.
The path to Bountship is similar to that of Shinigami. There's a fifty/fifty chance that you will respawn in either the Rukongai, or back on Earth. If you spawn back on earth, either have a player Soul Burial, or step outside the hospital and find a shinigami NPC. Be prepared for lulz as they torpedo toward you and use Soul Burial on you. Don't worry about being killed by a Hollow. In the off chance that you can avoid every single shinigami NPC on earth and get near one, all they will do is kill you and send you back to the hospital.
Becoming a soul is permanent. There is no going back, unless you remake. So if you don't want to die, I'd suggest staying in the hospital until you are strong enough to kill a shinigami NPC on the off chance you piss it off.
Anyway. You died, and (by whatever means) wound up in the Rukongai. Head dead left, into the forest. Keep going left, until you stumble upon a building. That is the Bount Lab. Go inside, and RP with the Bount Leader. If he likes your RP, he'll make you a Bount. Train for a bit, and you will get your doll, which is random, and requires mastery.
Becoming Bount Leader - Just like Hollow Leader, this is not race-specific. Have mastered release, mastered flashstep, and superior RP skills. Again, the ease of this task depends on who you are giving your RP to. Becoming the Leader grants you the ability to create Bounts at your discretion, and control over your Bounts. The same leader rules apply to you as well, so pay attention to what you do.

Sado/Inoue - Instead of walking outside, it'd be a good idea to train until you don't get instantly pwnt by Hollow/Shinigami NPCs. The path to Sado/Inoue is incredibly simple. From the Hospital, go north past all three stores until you come across a big brown building that says 'Urahara Shop' (This is also the area you will respawn if you die). The shop itself contains all the training devices you need.
From here, it's just a matter of RPing with the Human Leader. If he likes your RP, he will give you the option to become a Special Human. From there, you pick either Power-type for Sado, or Reiatsu-type for Inoue. None of your techs require mastery.
Becoming Human Leader - This title is availiable to Humans, Special Humans, and Shinigami only. Having all/mastered techs, mastered flashstep, and superior RP ability are the reqs. This will vary in difficulty depending on who you RP with. Becoming the Leader grants you the ability to create Special Humans at will, as well as giving you full access to the Urahara Shop, which includes the ability to go down into and lock the basement, as well as a verb that lets you sell gigais, and a secret verb you aren't allowed to discuss. You can hire people to work for you in your shop, as well as control over the Sados/Inoues you create.

Quincy - Instead of heading right toward the hospital, head north until you come across a dirt road. Follow it to the left, ending up at a big, multi-story building. This is Quincy Inc., the only real player-run business in the game.
Go inside, and you will be on the first floor. At the desk should normally be a receptionist. Talk to them, and hopefully they will allow you up. Double left-click on the elevator, and a menu will pop up, asking you which floor you want to go to. The floors are Basement, where all the training impliments are, Entrance, the floor you're on, Office Area, for people that work there only, and Executive Floor, where the Quincy Elder's office is. Head to the Exec. Floor, and talk to the Secretary (Me atm ). They will call ahead to see if the Elder is willing to see anybody. If they are, then you will be allowed in. From there, it's all a matter of RP skill. Pass the RP test, and you'll get your bow and Quincy suit. The bow requires mastering.
Becoming the Quincy Elder - This title is availiable to Humans and Quincies only. Seeing as how you'd need an Elder to be a Quincy, the first Elder will most likely start off Human. Becoming the Quincy Elder AFTER the first Elder requires mastered bow, mastered hirenhyaku, and superior RP skills. As with all leader positions, the difficulty of this depends on who you are RPing with.
Being Elder grants you the entirety of the Quincy Tower, the ability to hire/fire people, and the abiltiy to create/control your own Quincies.

Vaizard - The method of becoming a Vaizard is hidden. It's all a matter of getting in good with the right people, RPing with the Vaizard Leader, and defeating your Inner Hollow.
This is extremely tricky. First off, the method is most likely difficult to accomplish. After that, you still need to defeat your Inner Self, which is a chore in itself. AND ON TOP OF THAT, if you do beat him, there's only a 33% chance you will learn to control your Inner Hollow and become a Vaizard.
The rewards? Hollow Mask, Cero/Gran Rey Cero, Garganta. If you win, congradulations, you sunuvabish. If you fail, I saw it coming ;D.
Becoming Vaizard Leader - This title is limited to only Shinigami and Vaizards. Seeing as how there has to be a Vaizard Leader to be a Vai, the first Leader will most likely start off Shinigami. The reqs for Leader AFTER the first one require mastered shikai/bankai, mastered shunpo, and superior RP skills. As with all leader positions the difficulty of this depends on who you are RPing with.
There are no leader perks, other than creating/controling Vaizard.
~~~Shopping (Or, "Does this make my butt look big?")~~~
Store Types - There are three different stores: The Clothing Store, The General Store, and The Barber.
The Clothing Store is basically like your local Good Will, since everything is free. You'll find objects from simple clothes, to leather jackets, to glasses and capes and ninja suits.
The General Store is where you can buy your cell phones and business cards. The cell phone is $2000, and the business cards are $50 each.
After you buy your cell phone, right click on it and press use. A menu will pop up with the following options: Dial a Call, View Own Phone Number, Hide Cell Number, and Address Book. Dial a Call has you put in a 4 digit number that is the other person's phone number. After dialing, your phone will start to ring, and you have to right click on the phone and press use again to answer it. View Own Phone Number will show you your number. Pretty self-explanitory. Hide Cell Number. Now, this one is a very good thing to have, and it's a good idea to click yes on this one, unless you want people to prank call you. Address Book shows you all the non-hidden numbers.
Business cards are basically a way of sharing your information without having to tell them over and over again. Just right click on the card when you are next to a player, and click 'Give'.
The Barber is where you get your haircuts, at $50 bucks a pop.
Buying a House - Directly left from where you first start is a big housing complex. Basically, each house is $3000, and pretty much empty. The only real house of interest is the very top-left house, which includes a portal into Hueco Mundo for some strange reason. Be aware, this is the house that EVERYONE wants, and doesn't offer much in the way of privacy.
THE END
